Activity: Dougga Archaeological Site

Dougga Archaeological Site  was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997. If you want to travel on the footsteps of the romans, you better pack your walking shoes.

Leave your motorcycle in the parking area, change into more comfortable shoes and start walking. From the impressive Theatre to the Temple of Juno Caelestis, from the Capitol to the Forum, the well preserved town of Dougga is a fascinating place to discover. Set high up on a hill with a wide view over the olive groves and the surrounding area, Dougga Archaeological Site is one of the most impressive roman ruins in North Africa.

A nice restaurant serving traditional Tunisian cuisine is placed right at the entrance to the site.
